A Easy Case - Folding A Paper CD Case

The content of this page is based on Tom Hull's original origami CD case instructions.

You have tons of CD or DVD discs spreading around your room? Want to put those CDs/DVDs in order but don't know how to start? When it comes to organized those discs, a paper folding CD case can be very handy. Please follow the steps and learn how to fold a CD case.

All you need to is a 8.5 x 11 inches piece of paper to start.
  1. Fold the left and right sides.
  2. Fold the bottom edge up, then fold it back. This part will be the pocket.
  3. Fold the top edge down and then fold it back. Then fold the top edge down and then fold it back. This will make the spine and top flap.
  4. Spread the sides of the pocket to the sides to create "wings". The fold lines may be off slightly depending on your printer.
  5. Tuck the wings behind the front part of the pocket. Flatten the pocket. And your disc will stay in the pocket. Then make two little dog ears on the top flap.
  6. Tuck the top flap into the pocket.
  7. . And....you're done!
